Description

DraftSight is a DWG/DXF software application allowing you to maintain and edit your legacy 2D documents as well as creating new 2D layouts from scratch. Over two days learn the basic drawing commands and how to manage layers, blocks and outputs.

During the course you will learn the following:
Understanding the user interface and basics of creating drawings
Coordinate systems: entry, boundaries and scale
Modifying commands, customising Properties and Layers
Advanced commands and functionalities
Mastering Drawing Outputs and Layouts

DraftSight is a separate application to SOLIDWORKS so please note that this course does not cover the drawing creation methods in SOLIDWORKS.

NOTE: This course is not part of the Training Passport scheme.

Course Prerequisites

Whilst this is an introductory course, there are no specific prerequisites.

Users with experience with other 2D CAD systems should find their experience is transferable.
